Family vacation Lapland
Family vacation Lapland
Teepee wilderness tours, bring your family
In spring the white winter landscape is brought back to life by the midnightsun. The colourful Arctic fauna explodes and clear water rivers begin running again. The flowers and colourful arctic chars glisten as jewels and bring contrast to the polar mountain scenery. In the midnight sun you can go on a photo-safari looking for animals that come to drink. It is a huge experience to be in Lapland north of the polar circle spending time with everything that comes with the wilderness.
By helicopter we reach our basecamp, located in one of the most breathtaking areas in Lapland. We have plenty of time to be together and find new freinds, children as well as parents. At the campsite we make our primitive stay in the wild comfortable. In the Lavvu we have a fireplace and here the children can spend the nights together with their new freinds. For the guided tours we also have personal expedition tents, for more privacy.
In a world that seems to change more quickly with each passing year, it is important to step outside our usual routine, to slow down, and to take time to remember what connects us all. We gather and capture some of our own food and gain insight to which plants that are edible. In the rivers we find the finest drinking water and superb fishing. Under the Arctic sky, the fresh ingredients we cook over the open fire are the ideal accompaniment to our fish, creating delicious meals.
